Kitchen and Bath Industry Show 2019 Preview

Direct Kitchen Distributors • Feb 12, 2019
I’m getting ready to head to the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS 2019). This year KBIS is in Las Vegas. I’ve heard the question, what goes on at KBIS and why would you want to fly all the way across the country to attend? That’s a fair question, particularly considering my travel plans usually coincide with a rather hefty snow storm. Here are 3 reasons I look forward to KBIS each year.
Las Vegas Welcome Sign 3/30/11
First, all of the manufacturers display their new products. The show floor covers hundreds of thousands of square feet, sometimes more than a million. ( Good walking shoes are a must ! ) It’s exciting to see the new things our manufacturers introduced and perhaps meet new partners with which I haven’t partnered yet. Many of our display changes in the last year come from relationships I formed at KBIS, buying group meetings, and other industry events.
Second is the education opportunities that are available. Topics are too numerous to list but if you want to sharpen your skills in the kitchen and bath industry, KBIS is the place to do it. This year, I will be devoting a full day to educational seminars focusing on design trends, technology in kitchens and baths, and project management.
And last, but certainly not least, is the opportunity to network with people throughout the kitchen and bath industry and catch up with friends that I have made in my 35 year history in this industry. It is great to share and hear stories of success and to offer a helping hand if needed. I can think of many situations over the years where advise from a friend in the business has helped us improve what we do and provide a better product and service to our clients.
I look forward to returning with great new ideas and a renewed sense of enthusiasm for the kitchen and bath industry. If there are any specific questions you would like me to research for you, don’t hesitate to give me a call or email. And keep watching our newsletter, website, and social media sites for updates during and after KBIS 2019.
